Blood test not bad for leukemia
My latest blood test (November 2018) looks good. My red blood cell count is only slightly below normal and the platelets remain in the normal range. My white blood cell and lymphocyte counts are near the levels I had back in June 2013.
The numbers create a “saw tooth” pattern that averages out to a plateau that started in June 2013. Things are holding well and so far I haven’t needed any treatments. Yay!
My new doctor is very encouraging about my numbers and says this saw tooth pattern could go on for some time (no guarantees of course). I’ve got my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed!
If you click on “Score Card” in the menu above you will find more info including a chart showing a complete history of my lab tests going back to January of 2005. And If you click on the chart you will get a larger image for easier viewing.
