Noisy library

Here’s one of the places I write. It’s my local library. Nice view, eh? Only problem with this particular library is it can get loud. They have a section for small children that’s not walled off. Four-year-olds screaming to get Mommy’s attention, babies crying, and even some adults chatting loudly in their “outside voice”. Long gone are the days when people were shushed in libraries and told to be quiet.

When it gets too loud I put on my headphones and crank up the white noise.

Not too many people here today though so It’s relatively quiet. I’m especially glad there’s no babies. I know, I sound like an old grinch.
